Tsessebe (Damaliscus lunatus), also known as Topi in East Africa. These two males were rutting, competing for the right to mate with the females, when a Hippopotamus came trundling through the bush. They ran, frightened, straight towards us and I was lucky to get this picture just before they veered out of the way of our Landrover. Mombo 1999.
